How to get data from an online form into a Google Doc

If you are a Google Workspace user, you are probably familiar with Google Forms which lets you build online forms, send notifications and feed data into a Google Sheet. In a previous video, we discussed how to merge the data from the Google Sheet into a Google Doc Template using Form Publisher.

Today, we want to discuss another tool that allows for the merging of Google Sheet data into a Google Doc Template from an online form on a WordPress website using the Forminator plugin.

With Forminator, you can build a styled online form and tie a Google Sheet into it so that entries populate it. Once the data is in the Google Sheet, it can be merged into a Google Doc Template using a Google Sheet Add-on called Autocrat. With Autocrat, you can set up notifications as well as merge Google Sheet data with a Google Doc. By leveraging these tools, you can make filling out online forms much easier and provide a way to have a completed templated document created with the form data without the use of a Fillable PDF which is neither mobile friendly nor ADA compliant.

Here is how it works.
