Transmitting confidential information such as driver’s license numbers, credit cards and social security numbers can be a tricky proposition. You don’t want this information getting in the wrong hands.
If you are using Gmail, your email is securely encrypted within the Google Ecosystem, so your data is secure. However, if you send an email from Gmail to a non-Gmail account, there are no encryption guarantees. Plus, using Gmail on its own provides you no way to ensure only the intended recipient opens the email nor does it provide any way to revoke access to a recipient.
What you may not know is that Google Workspace has a built-in Gmail tool that will not only ensure that your email is encrypted, no matter who you send it to, but will also allow you to set access expiration dates, require verification codes for access, and manually revoke access emails at any time!
