Adding or Uploading Website Files

If your public website has been integrated with Google Drive, file management will take place within Google Drive rather than the website.

This method of file management provides a seamless way to divide public document management responsibilities and eliminates the need to upload “copies” of documents (files) to a website.

Step 1: Determine if your documents are integrated into Google Drive

Method 1: If you have a Public Document Search tool that looks like this.

Method 2: When you open a file, you see if the URL looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8bl913r7pX-QW5xeW9sVUhGV00/view

Step 2: Manage files from Google Drive

Method 1: From the Google Drive app in the browser:

  1. Go to https://drive.google.com
  2. Login with your assigned Google Account
  3. Navigate to the folder you want to edit

Method 2: From the Google Drive File Stream folder on your Windows or Mac:

  1. Go to https://drive.google.com
  2. Login with your assigned Google Account
  3. Navigate to the folder you want to edit
