The City requested an inviting, mobile-friendly and intuitive website that focused on tourism, business growth, new residents and the existing community - and Cave Consulting delivered. Behind the scenes, Cave Consulting had to find a way to help the City manage over 400 pages of content and literally thousands of public documents. Their solution was an easy to use website editor that works from the browser or mobile device and requires only a Google account to log in and the integration of G Suite to manage all of the website documents and calendar events. The editor allowed the City to designate people within departments to manage page content and G Suite allowed for all "public" documents and calendar events to automatically appear on the website as soon as they were created. Since Cave Consulting had already moved the City onto the G Suite platform for their email and internal calendars, any employee in the City instantly had the tools and knowledge necessary to contribute files or manage events, eliminating the website management learning curve and increasing available content contributors. By using a combination of 3rd party tools such as G Suite, Cave Consulting was also able to offer tools such as public document searches and news/posts subscriptions at a very low cost. Maybe one of the most powerful features provided to the City by Cave Consulting was the ability to automate custom processes on the fly. One such process that was automated was the Request for Water Service Form, which was integrated into the City website. The form was used by the Utility Billing Department and Fire Department to coordinate water service turn-ons and structure inspections. The real beauty of this tool was that new processes could be easily added, data can be shared between applications and one subscription got a user access to all of the applications, so costs stay low even as new apps are added.
Kaufman County, Texas came to Cave Consulting with two (2) websites nearly a decade old each. They challenged Cave Consulting to come up with a unique design that was both easy to use and easy to manage. They wanted visitors on a mobile device to get a similar experience visiting their website as they would a mobile app. They also needed a way for all of the many departments, officials, and employees to contribute to the website with minimal effort. What Kaufman County got was a website with a totally unique look, that is simple to navigate and is filled with tools that encourage transparency and interactivity with the public. With a custom design, Kaufman County will not have to worry about their site looks like it came out of a template factory. Smart navigation and responsive design help take visitors where they're going from the browser or mobile device. Integration with G Suite allows all of their departments and precincts seamlessly contribute to the website, making it possible to achieve maximum transparency with minimal effort. Key features include custom document search pages sprinkled throughout the website, a video archive that automatically formats Youtube videos and an event calendar that automatically populates all recurring meetings with links to the most current agenda. Coming Soon - Application that allows the public to request a 911 address and triggers an internal subdivision process with a mobile app that can be used to collect field information.
Situated just west of Fort Worth, Texas in a high growth area of Johnson County, the City of Joshua was in need of a more modern feeling website that put them on par with some of the larger cities in the region and state. They were looking for a site they could use to help attract new residents and businesses, disseminate information to the public and automate processes but wanted to avoid the big fees normally associated with the traditional municipal website companies. Cave Consulting first designed a graphic that was unique to the City of Joshua and projected a professional image and their progressive mood. The site's focus was on rapidly moving visitors where they want to go, maximizing online forms and payments, and helping them stay informed. Making it all work and keeping the costs down was the innovative way the site was developed by Cave Consulting. Key to their successful end product was the cost-effective, flexible content management system (CMS) used to run the website. It allowed Cave Consulting to implement new features on the fly and integrate powerful 3rd party applications such as G Suite, which allows documents to "upload themselves" to the website and teams to manage website calendar events. New to the Joshua website, is a Business section which was derived from the City's EDC (Economic Development Corporation) website. Now, instead of having to pay for and manage two (2) separate websites (City and EDC), they now only have to pay for and manage one (1). With custom tools such as animated demographic charts, interactive available properties and a "Take it With Me" tool that allows prospective businesses take all pertinent information and files with them in a format that can be easily shared and is always up to date.
The City of Maypearl first came to Cave Consulting in need of a website over back in the early 2000's. Today, the City has launched their new website, which is light years ahead of its predecessor. First is the modern, clean look. The custom graphic gives the City a website that has been personalized for them and projects a high level of professionalism. The intuitive, mobile-friendly and clean design makes it easy to find what you are looking for, especially if you are on a mobile device. But, what gives this website an edge is its integration with G Suite. With this tool, the City is able to store and manage all of their documents from a single folder on their Windows machine, in the browser or on a mobile device. Moreover, the City can use G Suite as it's document storage repository for all public documents, so they don't have to have copies of them on local servers or Windows machines. This protects them from malware or disaster, makes it easy for any employee to contribute and eliminates the need to manually upload documents to the website as they instantly show up as soon as they are saved. In addition, because the City website documents are in G Suite storage (Google Drive), Cave Consulting is able to provide document searches customized to specific pages on the website (ie. Government, Documents, and City Council). Finally, G Suite has allowed the City to begin making their site more interactive by converting PDF, Word and Excel files into online forms that feed data to spreadsheets or databases, where events can be triggered, data can be manipulated and documents can be created.
When Ore City approached Cave Consulting, they had no web presence. They had been looking for a web developer and thought they had to settle for a traditional, "templated" website or mortgage their 1st born child to get a website like some of the bigger cities around Texas and the United States had. What they got from Cave Consulting was a sleek, custom-designed website that emits the vibrant energy of the small East Texas City. More than that, they got a website that helped them be more transparent than many cities 10 times their size and be able to leverage enterprise-level email to boot. By integrating G Suite into the website, Cave Consulting provided the City a way to have multiple employees have all of their "website documents" automatically appear on the website and share website calendar management responsibilities, without having to log in to a website editor. Google Drive and Google Calendar (part of G Suite) essentially integrated "website management" into the City staff's daily routine without having to change it. Plus, the tools in G Suite were able to further increase productivity and disaster preparedness by allowing them to use applications such as Gmail, Drive and Calendar to improve internal communication and collaboration.
The City of Holliday was on a budget but needed a new, modern website that could be used to communicate with the public. With a custom graphic design, Cave Consulting took the feel that the City wanted to be conveyed and blended into a beautiful website. Next, the website was developed on a platform that made it easy to build in features and integrate 3rd party applications, such as G Suite. Key to the development of the site was simple, intuitive navigation, that was designed to get people where they wanted to go within 2 or 3 clicks. Instead of using website tools to manage documents and calendar events internally, Cave Consulting utilized Google Drive and Google Calendar, both part of the G Suite productivity Suite the City was already using. This enabled the City to have multiple employees contribute documents and manage calendar events on the website without having to log in to a page editor, greatly enhancing the amount and quality of public information on their website. As a bonus, the City was able to eliminate their "legacy" document management system (Laserfiche) which was expensive and required a server, by simply moving there documents into the same Google Drive platform. With their documents securely in the Google Drive Cloud, they were protected from malware or a disaster. Plus, since they no longer had to pay for unnecessary licenses or servers, they were able to move their court system to a purely cloud-based system, which made them more productive and prepared for a disaster and further reduced their IT and technology costs.
Like most smaller communities, the City of McCamey wanted a professional looking website to both promote their community and communicate to their citizens. They had a limited budget and staff and figured they would have to settle for a small-time website development company and would be unable to have a "transparent" municipal website as it would require too much manpower to manage. They were shocked when Cave Consulting was able to deliver a custom-designed site, within their budget, that rivaled those of much larger cities with tools that enabled them to make their website more transparent than many cities 10 times their size. Key to the website was its integration with G Suite, which provided single-sign-on (SSO) to their website editor, document storage, searching and management and website event calendaring. With G Suite, the City was able to manage much higher volumes of data than they could with a traditional website editor. G Suite also gave the City an unexpected return on their website investment as they were able to move all of the City emails onto an enterprise-level platform within G Suite, which eliminated the need to invest in a system like Microsoft Exchange, potentially saving them thousands in setup, management, and support costs.
The City of Palmer is a high-paced, growing City that needed a modern website that could both promote and inform. When approached by Cave Consulting, the City had what might be called a "bill-board" website which had minimal, static content. Most of the changes to the website were in the form of agendas and minutes, which were sent to a webmaster after meetings for posting. The lack of an informative website resulted in the public directing unnecessary questions to the City, creating frustration and additional work for staff. Cave Consulting changed all that with a custom-designed professional website that had a clean, intuitive design and was packed with information. Critical to making the site work for the City was providing them a way to get more information on it with less effort. Cave Consulting achieved this by building the site on a cost-effective, flexible CMS platform that allowed them to easily add powerful features and by integrating it with 3rd party applications such as G Suite. Tools such as feeds, subscriptions and styled calendars that require minimal custom design or coding kept costs down and applications such as G Suite allowed staff to manage much of the website changes without interrupting their normal workflows. Cave Consulting also helped the City get even more from their website investment by building online forms that feed into spreadsheets from built-in G Suite tools and moving all of the City emails onto G Suite which offers enterprise-level email service, used by many of the Fortune 500 companies around the world.
The City of Italy, Texas was one of the first to be introduced to the "Google-Integrated" website, a concept first thought up by Cave Consulting. They quickly saw the benefits of being able to get a website that looks as good or better than many high-end municipal websites and offers more information with less effort than most municipal websites in the United States, much less the State of Texas. What they got from Cave Consulting was a gorgeous, custom-designed website that incorporated both the City's rich history and it's modern growth. The Home Page was intuitive and informative, getting visitors where they need to go in a single click and letting them know what was happening in the community. By integrating the site with G Suite, Cave Consulting was able to allow City staff to make documents, such as Agendas, available on multiple pages on the website as well as the calendar by simply dragging them into a Windows/Mac, browser or mobile app folder. G suite also enabled people in the City government responsible for events to schedule them on the fly, without having to go to a central webmaster. The public also benefited from the G Suite integration as items such as documents could be automatically delivered to them without any City website sign up requirements and calendar events from the website could be synchronized with their phone and office calendars. The City even used G Suite as their email solution and a way to better communicate and collaborate on projects such as ordinance and agenda development, preventing them from spending thousands on a traditional Microsoft Exchange email system and helping them get projects done faster.
What lies beneath this clean, intuitive custom graphic design, is a powerful, yet cost-effective, set of tools that extend far beyond a simple website. First, consider that Cave Consulting moved the City onto the GSuite platform which handles their email, all of the website documents, internal and website calendar events and online forms. With a single login, City employees can get to all of their productivity tools. They can even manage webpage content and posts by simply clicking a button "Log in with Google".To understand the true power of this Google-Integrated website, you can look no further than the website documents. Instead of logging into a website editor and uploading "copies" of documents to the website, all "original public" website documents can be set to automatically appear on the website as soon as they are saved to their folder.Another benefit the G Suite integration brought to the website was the ability to build powerful online forms that trigger internal actions, allow for data tracking and create actual documents. For example, the City built a simple "Work Order" system that lets the public report problems to the City and helps the City quickly address the problem. Once the work order request has been submitted, authorized staff are notified and a Work Order document is created. Once the employee has addressed the issued, from the browser or mobile device, they can close the ticket which automatically creates a PDF of the Work Order and files it away. The data is also logged into a Google Sheet for tracking purposes. And the best part is that this powerful Work Order form didn't cost thousands to develop. In fact, the City built it themselves at no charge, using Google Forms, another productivity tool that comes with G Suite.
About a decade before the launch of their current Weimar website, Cave Consulting had designed the City a website that allowed them to manage their own content from a browser and provided them a cost-effective way to make documents such as minutes and ordinances searchable from their website. Cave Consulting even provided the onsite scanning of the documents to the web-based system. First deployed by Cave Consulting in 2001, these tools and services were "state of the art" at the time, as few cities in the United States, much less Texas had such website capabilities. Fast-forward to the era of the browser and mobile device and the City of Weimar again has a website that most cities can only dream of. Not only does it have a custom look that sets it apart from any other website in the country, it is built for the mobile device, runs on one of the most cost-effective and secure platforms on the planet and costs only a fraction of what a high-end municipal website would cost. The site's integration with G Suite also makes it possible for the small staff of Weimar to manage high volumes of data with minimal effort. With G Suite, anyone with a G Suite account in the City can have their original "website" documents automatically appear on the website without ever logging into a website editor and can manage website calendar events and internal calendar events together as a team, from the browser or mobile device. The system can even be expanded to provide full-blown document management, negating the need for expensive document management systems, networks, servers and IT Support.
The City of Lakeside City needed a more modern, mobile-friendly website as well as a way to get their internal documents, calendars and email better organized and under the control of the City and protected from disaster and malware. They did not have the budget for a traditional high-end website from a municipal website company, nor did they have the money for expensive email and document management systems. Cave Consulting provided them all that they were asking for and more. The website Cave Consulting delivered had a custom look, an intuitive design, and tools that made it easy to manage content and internal processes. Cave Consulting's innovative approach to website design and extensive knowledge of G Suite, which they integrated into the website, kept website costs down and provided the City a way to attain services like email and internal document management at a fraction of what traditional systems cost. With G Suite, the City could manage all of their "public" documents from a folder on their Windows, Mac, Browser or Mobile Device and share website calendar management responsibilities with their entire team from the same platform in which they check their email and collaboration projects.
New Fairview, Texas is a small community in Wise County, Texas, with only a handful office staff. They wanted a transparent website, chalked full of information, that did not look like it was made on an assembly line, but didn't think they would have the manpower to keep all of the information up to date nor the money to pay for a website of that caliber. Cave Consulting was able to deliver what the City wanted and more. First, they designed the look and feel of the site from scratch - no templates. Then, they built in powerful features like a way for website visitors to have City documents automatically delivered to them and calendar events sync with their personal and business calendars. The City was surprised to learn that features like this come standard on every Cave Consulting municipal website and often work with services like Gmail, that people already have, making it super easy to use. Cave Consulting's also built-in tools for staff to easily manage the data. First, they integrated the documents and calendar events into G Suite, a cloud-based office productivity tool from Google. With G Suite, City staff didn't have to log into a website editor and manually upload copies of documents or add calendar events. Instead, their "original" documents automatically appeared on the website as soon as they were created in their native programs (ie Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs, etc...) and calendar events were added via the Google calendar browser or mobile app. Plus, G Suite allows editors to securely log in to the easy-to-use WYSIWYG webpage editor without having to remember a password. They can even make posts and other changes from a mobile app. As a bonus, the City also uses their G Suite account for other processes including City email and internal calendars, making the website investment even more cost-effective. And the best part, the City got all of this for a fraction of what larger neighboring Cities typically pay for templated websites with inferior features.
The Town of Ponder is a rural town, just west of the City of Denton, Texas. They wanted a website that projected their "Cowboy" heritage and would provide the public with a way to quickly access information. Cave Consulting took on the challenge by first, delivering a one-of-a-kind graphic, that reflected a mixture of professionalism and the country feel the town was looking for. The design was then laid onto a platform that lets the town easily post notices, change out pictures and modify page content from a browser or mobile device. Cave Consulting then integrated a Google-based system that integrated all of the Town's website documents into folders that were tied into the website, allowing documents to automatically appear on the website as soon as they were dropped into a folder. A Google calendar was also tied into the website, allowing calendar events to be managed without logging into a website editor. Using the Google solution allowed anyone on the Town staff to contribute to the website without ever actually having to login to a website editor. It also allowed them to access the website editor without having to remember a password. Instead, they just click the "Log in with Google" button, and they are in. Not only does this make it easier to manage page content, but it is more secure, and Cave Consulting is big on security, being one of the first in the industry to mandate SSL for all pages on the new websites they create.

Government, Documents, and Elections). Finally, G Suite has allowed the City to begin making their site more interactive by converting PDF, Word and Excel files into online forms that feed data to spreadsheets or databases, where events can be triggered, data can be manipulated and documents can be created.
